Editorial opinion, offered in good faith
Every gift guide on GiftWiseList is an editorial opinion about what tends to suit a particular person, budget or occasion. We write carefully and update guides when we learn something new, but a recommendation is still a judgement, not a promise that a gift will be right for the person you have in mind.
We do not test products unless we say so
Unless a guide states otherwise in plain words, we have not bought, used or laboratory tested the products we list. Picks are based on the product’s stated features, its fit for the reader the guide is written for, and our own judgement. We never describe a product as tested, reviewed or verified by us when it was not. Our editorial policy explains how picks are made.
Prices, stock and product details
We do not print prices. Each product carries a broad budget band that reflects what the editor saw when the product was added; prices move daily and the band can fall out of date. Product names, features, colours, sizes and availability are also controlled by the retailer and manufacturer and may change after a guide is written. The retailer’s listing at the moment you buy is the only accurate source for price, specifications, shipping and returns.
Safety and age guidance
Many of our guides are about gifts for children. Age ranges in guide titles describe who the guide is written for; they are not safety ratings. Always follow the manufacturer’s age grading, choking-hazard and other safety warnings, check for recalls, and use your own knowledge of the child. Nothing on this site should be relied on as a safety assessment.
Not professional advice
Nothing here is medical, dietary, financial, legal or other professional advice. Guides that touch on health, fitness, food, skincare, pets or similar topics describe products in general terms only. Consult a suitable professional before buying something for a person with allergies, a medical condition, a disability or other specific needs.

“Check price” buttons take you to retailers we do not own or control. We are not responsible for their content, prices, stock, delivery, customer service, returns, privacy practices or the accuracy of their listings. Your purchase is a contract between you and the retailer. Some of these links are affiliate links; see the affiliate disclosure.
No endorsement by brands
Brand and product names appear on the site to identify the products we discuss. Their appearance does not mean the brand endorses GiftWiseList, and unless we say so, we have no relationship with the brands beyond the retailer affiliate programs listed in our disclosure.
Errors and omissions
Despite our care, a guide may contain a mistake, a product may be discontinued, or a link may stop working. If you spot one, please tell us and we will fix it. We do not accept liability for loss arising from reliance on the site, as set out in the terms of use.
