The short version
When you click a “View at …” button and buy something, the retailer may pay GiftWiseList a commission. You pay the same price either way. Commissions are how the site is funded; they do not influence which gifts we choose or what we say about them.
Programs we take part in
GiftWiseList is not currently enrolled in any affiliate program.
How the links work
- Retailer buttons are labelled neutrally (“View at Amazon”, “View at Target”) and open in a new tab.
- Clicks pass through a short redirect on our own domain so we can count how many people use each link. We record the link, the guide it was on and the time — no IP address, device details or anything that identifies you.
- We do not show live prices. Budget bands reflect what an editor saw when the gift was added and may be out of date. The retailer’s page is always the source of truth for price, stock and shipping.
What we do not do
- We do not take payment to include a product or to rank it higher.
- We do not publish sponsored guides.
- We do not receive free products in exchange for coverage.
